Roadmap — From MVP to Token Engine v2 and Beyond
Nine milestones shipped in under four weeks. Token Engine v2 is live on multi-chain. Here's what's next.
Where We Are Today
Agora has shipped nine versioned milestones (v1.0 through v9.0) between March 1 and March 22, 2026. The platform now comprises 48 NestJS backend modules, 22 extracted core packages, 13 OpenZeppelin v5 smart contracts, and 6 custom circom circuits — deployed across Ethereum mainnet and four Layer-2 networks.
v9.0 Token Engine v2 is the current production release. It introduces dynamic reward scaling from 10K to 10M+ users, 5-tier staking with governance multipliers, cliff + linear vesting, multi-sig tiered treasury, and on-chain governance via OpenZeppelin Governor with a Timelock controller.
The roadmap below reflects live production state. Completed phases have shipped and are running. In-progress work refers to v9.1 (poll duration, vote limit, shielded fees). Planned phases cover Q2–Q4 2026, culminating in progressive decentralization and a global scale rollout.

22 core @agora/* packages, a public SDK, and a partner API gateway — so any team can add anonymous voting, RLN-protected chat, or UniRep reputation to their product in hours.
Progressive Decentralization
Hand off platform parameters — reward rates, treasury allocation, upgrades — to AGR holders through on-chain governance backed by ERC20Votes snapshots and a Timelock controller.
Next-Generation ZK Primitives
Quadratic voting, liquid democracy, conviction voting, and cross-chain governance — all backed by the next generation of Semaphore, RLN, and UniRep circuits.
